W3 invests in original content creator for world market, Peach Blossom Media

W3 Infocomm Group Pte Ltd ("W3") announced that it had made an investment in an original content creator focused on the world market, Peach Blossom Media Pte Ltd ("Peach").
 
Sung Lingun, Peach's Founder and Chief Executive Officer welcomes the investment & support from W3, "Peach targets world-class creative content to be licensed or sold to USA, Europe & worldwide broadcasters and producers. One of our first creation Quiet Minds, a co-production with award winning OMNI Films of Canada, will be screened on Canadian television. Our first 26-episodes television animation series, Tomoto Twins, to be completed in 2003, will be marketed to Nickolodeon Asia and other broadcasters in Asia. W3's investment will help Peach to speed up its creative development and world & regional market penetration".
 
W3's Chief Executive Officer, Andy Quak, said "Lingun is an established award winning producer with a good many quality shows under his belt. W3 will assist Peach to scale up for the world market and to tap into capital markets for growths at the right time".

In 2003, the Company successfully pre-sold to Nickelodeon Asia a 52-episode animation series, Taoshu the Warrior Boy. Taoshu started broadcast on Nickelodeon Asian cables in 2004, and is presently licensed to Nickelodeon Asia, French, Belgium , Luxemburg, Middle East & Hong Kong TV and CCTV, among others.
  
In 2004, PBM created and completed a 13-episodes mixed media series, Emily's World, commissioned by Mediacorp TV, which broadcast on Kids Central, Mediacorp's children television channel. PBM was also commissioned by National Geographic to produce Spirit Weddings.
  
In 2004 and 2005, the Company successfully sold 2 show concepts and pilots to Disney USA. The pilot episode for the first show was co-produced with Sunwoo Entertainment, the largest listed animation group in South Korea which also undertook the production of top hit series such as Simpsons and Rugrats.
 

In December 2004, Singapore' s Media Development Authority [MDA] signed an agreement to invest S$9m in a slate of 7 new shows to be produced by PBM. The first show is a 6-episode mixed media series called Wild Animal Baby which will teach children about wildlife conservation. Based on a popular pre-school magazine by the non-profit organisation National Wildlife Federation (NWF) in the United States, it is co-produced with NWF and Sunwoo Entertainment, and will be completed in 2006.
